SDL Trados Studio 2021 Freelance Plus does not open

Question

I am having issues today initiating S DL Trados Studio 2021 - 16.1.8.4404 . Yesterday, I worked without a problem, but today the program just won't open. I already tried running Trados Freshstart and turned on and off my computer several times, but I keep having this issue. It freezes in the Initializing view window, and after five minutes or so I can access the workspace but then it freezes again. 
 I deactivated the antivirus and I don't have any add-in. The only thing that I did differently yesterday was adding a memory to a project. 
 I am still new to Trados and I really don't know what to do. Any suggestions?

 Are your translation memories saved locally on your PC or on a shared drive?
