This may have been caused, if you were sharing the TM
Please follow the instructions here (rename the translation memory repository.xml and then restart Studio)

Yes, I renamed the file and was able to open Trados and my project, but I still have the same message and can't do any research in the TM which seems to be desactivated.
Please remove the TM from the project.
Close Studio- Reopen and now add the TM back to the project and ensure it is also enabled in the project settings.
If the problem persists, please try to repair the TM using the following app

You can also try and export the TM to TMX - create a new TM and import the TMX to a new TM
Its always recommended backing up your resources, just in case something becomes corrupted and cannot be repaired.
We have an app that makes light of this and automates the process-
