Actually I wonder why I can not select in what drive and/or directory I will install MY LICENSED software from SDL/RWS (now), as I can do with so many other tools like Office.

And my problem should be a common issue: 3 or 4 years ago many well known laptop brands started usig a smaller SSD for the OS to start quickly and a huge (as huge as you wish) HDD for data and programs. Windows started to grow up quickly and the SSD get clogged:

In is not an issue on the main PC I am working now but certainly it is on the laptops used to move around/spare

It is still not common to have programs offering you the installation on other drive. This said, I used to have this option in a stone-age time... Nowadays computers are delivered with SSD drives of 512 GB or more, which is enough for data AND programs. And since starting from WIndows 7 creating partitions can be easily done in Windows without any extra tools I do not really see the big need to install Studio on a separate HDD. In fact, having it installed on the SSD and having all project data including TMs and TBs on the SSD makes work with Studio much more smooth. There is even a really huge difference between placing the data on a SATA SSD or a M2 SSD. The bigger the data volume the more you enjoy M2.
