Hi, I have a licence for Trados Studio 2021, that I'm using on a PC computer for a few months now. A client is asking me to get a Mac, to work on it with Trados: will I need to get a new licence?
It's a very simple question, but I wasn't able to find any answer or ask a question anywhere else...

Most licenses come with 1 activation, so if you have a Freelance license, this means you can activate it on one device. If you would like to keep that license on your PC, and also work on a Mac device, perhaps you can trade up your license (Trade up from Trados Studio 2021 Freelance to Trados Studio 2021 Freelance Plus). This way you can use the same license on 2 different devices (PC & MAC). You can purchase this package on the Trados Store (in the "Choose your upgrade path" section):
However, if you simply want to transfer your license from the PC to MAC (we don't recommend this as Trados Studio doesn't work directly on a MAC device, and you need a virtual machine), please follow the instructions below:
