Hi there,
A customer wants me to use SDL 2017. I am not sure that my licenses still can work for SDL 2017.
I am using SDL 2019 on a daily basis in Windows 10.
I have the option to make a Windows 7 Virtual Machine with either SDL 2017 or 2019.
I am assuming that the produced bilingual files are compatible between the two versions.
What would you advise me to do?

I'd want to know why it's so important to use 2017. That's a non-supported version of Trados Studio and for anyone who tries to maintain their software it's probably not even possible to use it now unless they happen to have kept a licence for each version as they upgrade.
If you do have a licence for 2017 I can tell you it will run on W10 and it will run alongside 2021 quite happily.
