How to update part of the licenses

Hello, 
 Our client currently has 13 seat Trados Studio Professional 2017. He has a license server that we updated this morning that works with these 13 seat. 
 He just bought 4 update' Upgrade from Trados Studio 2017 Professional (Network) to Trados Studio 2021 Professional (Network). ' 
 How should we proceed with licensing? We currently have a license number, but it only corresponds to the 13 seat Trados 2017. Do we need a license number for the 4 seat Trados 2021 and another number for the 9 seat Trados 2017? Thanks for help

Hello Xavier Lagger 
 Here are the steps you need to follow: 
 1. Deactivate the 2017 licenses from License Manager. 
 2. Reactivate 9 seats for 2017 in License Manager. 
 3. Upgrade 4 seats from 2017 to 2021 (this will generate a new license code for 2021 version): https://gateway.rws.com/csm?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0039975 
 4. Activate the 4 seats for the 2021 license in License Manager.
