I`ve checked your account and noticed that your license is already upgraded to 2021. There`s no need to deactivate Studio 2019 anymore but if you want to do it you can follow the below steps:

1. Close Studio.
2. Go to: C:\ProgramData\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\Studio15\Data
3. Rename the file Studio.lic, e.g. to Studio_old.lic.
4. Reactivate Studio.

Note: If you can't find the path above, open Windows File Explorer, click on View and check "Hidden Items" checkbox.

Hi Sorin,

Many thanks for your help. However upon activating Studio with the product key I found in my account, I now got the following error message:

How can this be solved?

This happens, most probably, because you`re trying to activate the 2021 license in Studio 2019.

Please make sure that you have Studio 2021 installed and you`re activating the license in the correct version.
