I have installed Trados Studio and Multiterm on another computer. When I try to open them a pop-up appears saying 'Do you want this app to make changes to your device? Below it says 'To continue, use an admin username and password'. There is only box which is strange. Also, which username and password are needed? The ones from my SDL account or the login details for the computer?

it sounds as though you need admin rights on your computer to run the program. Based on your description it’s asking for your windows admin credentials I think.
