"Your new subscription has started and will last for 12 months" - Why do I get this message after buying SDL Trados Studio Freelance?

In December 2021 I bought an SDL Trados Studio Starter version, a 12 month subscription. 

It has proven to be insufficient, so I've decided to buy the Freelance version, which is not a subscription. 

The payment was successful, everything was okay and then I receive an email from noreply@languagecloud.sdl.com saying "Your new subscription has started and will last for 12 months. Sign in to your account for more details."

So I signed in and... everything looks normal.

 Screenshot showing two SDL Trados Studio product licenses. The first is the 2021 Starter version with 1 user in use, activated on 12-12-2021, expiring on 12-12-2022. The second is the Freelance version with 1 available user and no expiry date.

But still I am concerned. Will my Freelance license last only for a year? Has this happened to anybody else?
