Trados Studio 2021 Freelance licence deactivation

Hello,

I upgraded Trados Studio 2021 Freelance to the Plus version, so I can use it on my laptop and my PC at the same time.

Unfortunately I upgraded before deactivating the version that was installed on my laptop, and I can't deactivate it now, it tells me it failed.

How can I deactivate the older version on my laptop, so I can then activate the Plus licence?

Hello CECILE HUE

Please try to follow these steps:

Close Studio.

Go to: C:\ProgramData\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\Studio16\Data

Rename the file Studio.lic, e.g. to Studio_old.lic.

Reactivate Studio with the Freelance Plus license

Note: If you can't find the path above, open Windows File Explorer, click on View and check "Hidden Items" checkbox.
