I'M afraid you will have problems installing and getting it run on a Windows 10/11 machine. And most certainly the Trados template will not work with the current Office version.

Hi there,
I installed Trados 2007 successfully on Windows 10 for the rare occasions when someone might need support with it. Until version 2021 I did occasionally use it to troubleshoot .ilf or xml-based jobs to find errors on the very odd occasion when Studio wasn't picking them up.
TagEditor still opens OK on my Windows 10 system...
So, in principle, it should still be possible to use it, I think...
I do see why someone would still want to use it or even version 6.5 (the version after which Interleaf Quicksilver changed some 'background properties' that meant that accented letters were rendered incorrectly).
This would either be if they cannot afford to purchase anything more recent... or, like me a while back, they needed to troubleshoot a file that was from a client who needed files processed from an older software format that Studio doesn't support. It does happen.
All the best,
Ali
Dear All,
Thanks for your answers. I managed to install it on Windows 10 and I'll test it with Microsoft 365 as soon as a project comes in which needs it (thank you Alison for your testimony as indeed some people may still need Trados 2007 even though it may be amazing...).
Kind regards,
Muriel
Yep... I also have Trados 2007 installed and working on my W10 machine. I cannot use the Word components to this as it simply will not run in a 64-bit environment, but I can use Workbench and TagEditor. Although I never use it for filetype support I do actually use Workbench sometimes, especially when preparing TMX files from other CAT tools for import into Trados Studio. Workbench often handles properties better from other tools and then I can upgrade the Workbench TM into Trados Studio without any problems.
These old tools just never die...
