Upgrade to Trados Studio 2022 Freelance Plus (Freelancer), working on a desktop and sometimes on a laptop

A few days ago I purchased an upgrade to Trados Studio 2022 Freelance Plus (Freelancer). Everything went well with the installation on my iMac via Parallels and so far I had no issuers.

However, sometimes, I have to go out to work onsite for a client, for various reasons. Also, I am a part-time lecturer and external scientific researcher and need to take along my laptop. Unlike, as I used to do in the past, on this occasion I was unable to activate the license for this upgrade on my laptop. Every time, when I try to activate the upgrade on my laptop I am being asked to buy a new license.

Please could anyone let me know how to proceed?

I cannot take along my iMac like a laptop to clients. Installing every time the application again and again would be extremely time consuming, particularly using Parallels to run Windows.

Is there a solution, like the one I had before, that it worked on my desktop and on my laptop?

If you own a Freelance Plus license, this means that you can activate Studio on two PC simultaneously.
In order to upgrade your 2021 license to 2022, you need to first deactivate your current 2021 license and then process the upgrade in your RWS customer account, which will then give you a new license key for 2022. If you then activate Studio 2022 with this new key, it will also activate your copy of Studio 2021. You can do this on both your iMac and your laptop.
However, this only works if your copy of Studio 2021 was previously upgraded to CU 10. If you still had CU 9, this will not work.
It is all explained in detail in this KB article.
I suggest you check which version of Studio 2021 you have and install the upgrade to CU 10 if necessary.
