Hello I have the exact same issue, where you able to solve it? I uninstalled multiple time to see if it solves the problem with no success...

When opening Trados. It does not get me to the activation window. It worked fine on 2021 and the first day of 2022. It suddently stopped working.

Good day Sorin, Happy to say that the problem this morning is gone!! So I will not create a ticket now. But this makes me wonder: Do you think it's possible that the new Trados 2022 keeps in memory the server license and opens it "by default" unless you manually disconnected it while closing the software? I'm asking because my server license is at one location and I work at other places. So yesterday when I had the problem I was not at the License server location. I'm thinking this may be the "issue"... To be followed I guess!

Yes, Studio (valid for all versions) saves the license server information in the registries and if you don`t Disconnect from the server it will automatically try to connect to the same server when you reopen it.

Agree that it kept the info in memory, but Trados 2021 was still opening if you change location. Simply that it opened the license popup saying that you don't have the license. Then you select "choose a different server" and enter the IP address. Now with 2022, it simply won't open and crash, no mater if you uninstall. This is the strange part actually! Now that I know this is what causes the problem I'll pay attention. Hopefully my experience will trigger a fix of this bug for 2022's version.

Just to make sure: did you update the License Server software (Trados License Manager) to v117 as explained in this KB article? 
This is required for Studio 2022 server-bases licenses to work.
