MS Word under Windows 11 won't load TRADOS8.dotm template and macros

I'm a conservative, meaning that I still prefer to use (or at least supplement with) Word and Translator's Workbench (version 8.3.0.863) . It has worked fine as long as I had Windows 10 and Office 2021, but on my new laptop running Windows 11, Word (of Office 2021) refused to load the TRADOS8.dotm template. Or rather, it loads but displays an error message about compile error in hidden module: tw4winMain, and although the SDL Trados menu shows up in the menu bar, when I click it, I get several error messages about the macro not being found or having been deactivated due to the macro security settings. I've made these settings as generous as possible (possibly insecure, but identical to what I have with my Windows 10 laptop running the same version of Word), and I've tried various workarounds involving downloading Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 Common Controls and re-registering OCX files with the Command Prompt, but nothing helps. Any suggestions?
