Hello Sorin & thanks for answering.

After checking your link I tried to deactivate my 2017 Freelance existing license as per instructions.

I tried both the offlline and online method - twice, but to no avail (though on my account it says (deactivation partially started).

And as I understand it, you need to deactivate your active license in order to update.

Any further advice?

For Freelance licenses the deactivation of the current version (2017) is not necessary. You can process the upgrade even if the license is "In use".

Hello Sorin,

I have tried several times the required steps : go to your account, see if you have 1 update. I did so I clicked on updated. The "waiting circle" appears and disappears then nothing happened. After several attemps (to make sure I correctly followed the steps) it still doesn't work. I also tried to download the recommended "installer adapter", but when I try I get an error message and I am being sent back on my rws account page.

So while my 2017 is working fine, I still can't work with the 2021 version for which I have no activation key.

I do not know what else to do and I would appreciate suggestions.
