151001474343038226 SDL Trados Studio 2014 Freelance Plus CAN'T ACTIVATE FROM MY HOME USING COMCAST - NOT A CORPORATE NETWORK

Have paid almost a THOUSAND Dollars for a Studio Freelance Plus account. I can't activate it.

I am running an iMac with 32 MB RAM, and VMware with windows 7. SDL is of course installed in the Windows VM.

I'm HOME, my connection is through COMCAST, en the ^%$&)(% installation program tells me I can't activate through a corporate network.

I tried offline activation with the same results.

I'M LOOSING MONEY IN TRANSLATION JOBS I CAN'T FINISH.

HEEEELPPPPPPPPP !!!!!!!!!!

  • Hello Alberto,

    This probably means you are running a domain based network (doesn't mean you are on a Corporate network) at home.  Very occasionally this happens.  Please review this KB articleand if it doesn't help you at all please note there are instructions at the end that allow you to contact the licensing team and they can help you out.  But in a nutshell you'd do this...

    Go to the Knowledgebase;

    http://kb.sdl.com

    Then go to the tab called Solution Finder ( http://kb.sdl.com/?cid=23&tab=sf ) and now go here;

    Licensing Problems
    - I use SDL Trados Studio / SDL Passsolo - 2011 or 2014
    -- I receive an error message when (de-)activating my software
    --- I have a Single User License
    ---- None of the provided solutions worked, or are relevant for me (if they didn’t!)

    Follow the route for your problem and if there is no answer that helps by the time you get to the end you'll be presented with a form to contact support. Complete all the fields in the form making sure your email address is entered correctly or nobody will be able to get back in touch with you.

    Also use the Chrome browser to log the case if you have it; you'll get more success in completing the form.

    Regards
