I received a message from RWS telling me that the technical support services for Trados Studio 2019 and MultiTerm 2019 will end on December 31, 2022. Does this mean that I will not be able to upgrade to a newer version after that date? I would have liked to wait a bit longer before buying another upgrade.

No, it just means that we are no longer required to support 2019 and the solution to a problem may well be to upgrade.

We've already had versions for 2021 and 2022 so you've missed two upgrade opportunities already.
