I've had the same license for years and I was able to deactivate and reactivate it multiple times in the past without problems, but now it gives me an error message and I cannot activate Trados Studio 2017 to work on my projects. I don't understand what the problem is.
It might be helpful to see the error message... but for now and because you didn't share that maybe you can reset it yourself?
You can reset your own license by using the Self Service option in your MySDL account for Trados Studio 2017.
Use this KB article ( gateway.sdl.com/.../communityknowledge ) and follow the instructions.

Hi Paul,
Thank you for your answer. The message is in French. It reads : "L'activation a échoué. Impossible de se connecter au serveur d'activation. Vérifiez l'adresse du serveur d'Activation dans les paramètres du fournisseur. La demande a été abandonnée : Impossible de créer un canal sécurité SSL/TLS". I've tried it on both my computers and it's the same problem.
I thought about resetting my license but I don't have the "Reset License" button on my account.
I'm quite at a loss.

Just in case you are, you probably need to apply a registry fix to resolve a missing security protocol due to W7 being so old. Ignore the subject of this KB article and focus on the fix:
