installing 2021 SR2 OR 2022: Framework "4.0" requested.

So. I'm going a bit crazy here.

1. I had Trados 2021 SR2 installed on a laptop (let's call it 'laptop 1') that broke down and was sent to repair.

2. to be able to work in the meantime, I installed a trial version of 2022 on an old laptop ('laptop 2').

3. my laptop 1 went back from repair, with a windows reinstall and all my programs deleted. I purchased the 2022 upgrade, and tried reinstalling Trados 2022. Which is not working because "chainerhost.exe error": it's the v.4.030319 that apparently needs to be installed. Although I see everywhere that Trados2022 uses Framework 4.8.

4. Windows will NOT let me install an older version of Framework since I have the v.4.8 already.

5. I tried reinstalling Trados 2021 then, and got the same error: Framework "4.0" needed.

6. I then went back to try and activate Trados 2022 on old laptop 2, but it doesn't work, since it's an upgrade code and my 2021 licence is still active on laptop 1. Except I can't remove that licence locally in the program, since any reinstall of Trados fails due to that Framework 4.0 error. I went to the Windows Features, but it only lets me pick between Framework 3.5 OR Framework 4.8.

7. I tried using the Self Service to reset my licence, and got an error message.

→ I'm now stuck with two functional laptops, one with an installed version of Trados 2022 that won't accept my licence code because licence 2021 is still active elsewhere, and the other one that won't reinstall Trados at all because doing so apparently requires an obsolete, impossible-to-install-anymore version of Framework.

What can I do?
