To Whom It May Concern 
 
 I have SDL Trados Studio 2021 (perpetual license) on my laptop. The license is expired and I have just purchased the starter 2022 renewal. I have received the activation key BUT when I tried to activate the license I&rsquo;ve received the following message: 
 
 Activation failed. 
 Invalid Product Key. Make sure that the Product Key belongs to the intended product or product version. 
 
 Did I pay for the wrong license? Is it possible for you to assign me a new product key for my version? I don&rsquo;t want to install SDL Trados Studio 2022 Starter because I have pending tasks in my current version (SDL Trados Studio 2021 Starter) and I don&rsquo;t want to loose the files. 
 
 Thanks for your quick response. Please handle this with priority since I have delivery deadlines tomorrow.

Hello Leo Agorastos 
 The 2022 license key can only be used for Studio 2022, it is not possible to use it in another version (2021 in your case). You can safely install Studio 2022 and activate your license as this will not affect the 2021 installation. You can also open the files you`re working on in Studio 2021 and continue working on them in Studio 2022. The files are saved on your computer so you simply need to open them from their location.
