deactivation and activation problems

I have the same problem again. I returned from my holidays and tried to DEACTIVATE Trados on my laptop (NOT RESET MY LICENSE) to later ACTIVATE it on my desktop computer, which as I understand I can do as many time as I want, whereas resetting is limited to 3 times a year, I got it. I tried to do it from within the application, got a message with error ID 500 saying it can't be done. But then, when I clicked OK to close the pop up, I got another one saying the product is deactivated and Trados will now close. When I go to my RWS account, however, I can still see 1 licence in use, so I cannot activate it on my desktop computer. Can you help? How can I fix it without resetting my license please, as I will travel this year and work away from home quite a few times?
