I am having issues and I have not been able to find the answers in the various communities. Windows 11 is creating some new problems.
I did deactivate my 2021 license on my old computer, but when I try to open Studio 2021 on the new computer by going on my apps list, I get this error:
Service Sdl.TranslationStudioAlignmentEditor.IAlignment EditorService could not be started.
The fix for this is supposedly to repair or deinstall Studio and reinstall it.
When I try to repair or deinstall Studio 2021, I get a message from my new computer that there is already another version of it installed and I have to use that other (older?) version. For some reason, I think that my computer has Trados Studio 2021 SR1 and SR2 installed. However, the SR1 version shows up on the apps list, but not on the settings > apps. On the settings > apps, the SR2 version shows up.
I don't really care which version (SR1 or SR2) works since I already purchased the 2022 upgrade and will install it as soon as I can get Trados 2021 to work.
Any suggestion? I guess I need to
1- Find where the SR1 version is hidden and delete it
2. Fix the AlignmentEditor error
