Trados Studio 2015 installation issue in Windows 11

I've purchased a new notebook and reset my 2015 license to run in it with Windows 11 installed. The following error appears and I cannot install it.

SDL Trados Studio 2015 SR3 Setup window showing progress bar with text 'Downloading required files...'.

  •

    • Go to Start -> All Programs -> Windows Updates -> Check for updates and install all Windows Updates (you may have to do this several times before no more updates are found).
    • Remove any existing installations of Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (x86) from Programs and Features in Control Panel.
    • Restart the computer.
    • Open File Browser, navigate to C:\ProgramData\Package Cache\SDL\Dependencies and double-click 2005_vcredist_x86.exe to install it manually.
    • Attempt to install SDL Trados Studio 2015 again.

If that fails the problem is probably related to you using W11 which is a far more recent version of software than Trados Studio 2015.  But see if the above helps and if it doesn't we can create a support case for you and see whether we can help at all.
