When specifying the license server name by IP address, do I just use the IP address (xx.xx.xx.xx) or is there some input rule? I was able to connect with FQDN, but not with IP address.

The guidance in here, https://gateway.sdl.com/apex/communityknowledge?articleName=000001388 , says:
On the Configure a License Server page, enter the name of the license server or computer - on which the network license was activated, in the License Server Manager. You can use its fully qualified domain name (FQDN), short hostname or IP address.
NOTE:
Perhaps you don't have a static IP address?

Thank you for your reply, I will try to get back to you.
I confirmed that it is a static IP address and tried again with a shorter host name and IP address, but could not connect.
However, I am able to connect with the FQDN and will continue to use it.
Thanks for the help, and thanks again!
