I Can't Open Files On My Trados! - Object reference not set to an instance of an object

Question

Hello all,

I am witnessing an issue with my Studio 2019: when I try to open a file, I see this Object reference not set to an instance of an object . I have tried to follow the instructions I receicved from a colleague of Trados technical support recently, but this time it is not workling this time and I don't know how to proceed. Curiously, other files are okay, except the one with this problem.

 what kind of file is it? 
 can you open the file in its native application? 
 if it's an *ml file (xml, html for example) have you validated the file is well formed or doesn't have any other problems? 
 what version of Studio are you using... the full version not just 2019. 
 
 Seeing as you don't have a problem with other files the only thing I can conclude from your post is that there is a problem with this particular file.
