I have tried to install Trados Studio 2014 on my new laptop with Windows 11 but an error had ocurred while downloading the files not related to SDL Trados:
An error occurred downloading the following resource:
downloadcentre.sdl.com/.../clwireg.exe
Date: 06.03.2023 19:53:57
It seems that files related to Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable SP1 cannot be downloaded.
I have concluded from the different post that even though the licence is permanent, in reality it is impossible to install and licence Trados Studio 2014 on a new computer (because it is no longer supported). Is it really so? Is there any option to install it?
I have already deactivated my licence on my old PC, and the answer really matters - am I to buy a new (and probably different CAT software) or to stay with an old (and good) SDL Trados. Thank you.
