how do i solve a trados start up issue after upgrading to windows 10?

Hello,

After upgrading to Windows 10, when I try to start my Trados 2015, I see the following error message: Service 'Sdl.TranslationStudio.Api.ProjectManagement.IProjectManagementService' could not be started.

How do I solve this problem?

  • Hi again Dave, I found out that the problem was due to my not having uninstalled my security software (Zone Alarm Extreme Security) prior to upgrading from Win7 to Windows 10 (it seems that the ZA firewall was, inter alia, blocking Studio and preventing it from starting up - in spite of my uninstalling ZA after the upgrade (this did not succeed in solving the problem due to a couple of system files, which could not be deleted). Finally, after reverting to Win7, I got Trados Studio working again. At a suitable time, I will make another attempt at upgrading without the security software being installed.
