Hi :)
Yesterday, I was having problems accessing my desktop remotely from my laptop. I Googled and found a fix which involved logging onto my desktop locally with my password instead of my pin. Remote desktop then worked but... when I opened Trados up this morning (desktop), it said I had no active license. I logged onto my account and saw that my license was still active. Presumably, logging onto my desktop locally with my password instead of my pin has caused Trados to now identify this machine as a different machine/user instance, without a license. But it's still me, and only me. To get round the problem temporarily, I have used the additional activation that comes with my Trados license. However, what if I want to use Trados on my laptop in the future? My additional activation license won't be available, because I've used it on my desktop, which technically should already be enabled with the original license. Not sure what to do now, since if I deactivate the (additional) license on my desktop, I won't be able to work, and I'm in the middle of a big project. In my Trados account, the deactivate offline option doesn't tell me whether I'd be deactivating the original license or the additional activation license. I don't want to deactivate the latter... I hope this query makes sense, because I've confused myself somewhat typing it. Thanks.
