I upgraded my laptop and now I cannot activate my license for Trados 2021 Freelance Plus

Hello, 
 
 I am having issues with activating Trados 2021 after a laptop upgrade. I changed SSD. I deactivated the old license and tried to activate it again, but it said 'Activation failed. Object reference not set to an instant of an object.' I tried resetting the activation code too, but it takes me to a URL that never loads (this site cant be reached. took too long to respond). Could anyone help? Thank you!

 Try the following steps: 
 
 Close Studio. 
 Go to: C:\ProgramData\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\Studio16\Data 
 Rename the file Studio.lic, e.g. to Studio_old.lic. 
 Reactivate Studio. 
 
 Note: If you can't find the path above, open Windows File Explorer, click on View and check "Hidden Items" checkbox. 
 If it doesn`t work try to activate the license offline as described in this article: https://gateway.sdl.com/apex/communityknowledge?articleName=000001383
