Trados Studio 2017 Activation problems

We have an available license for Trados Studio 2017 but when entering the license number we receive the following error message:

"Activation failed. Could not connect to the activation server. Check the activation server address in the provider settings."

Subsequently, the program shuts down.

Does anyone know how we can activate this version of the program with the license number available under our RWS Account?
