Thanks for the help, unfortunately this is not helping. I have also tried some of Microsofts solutions, but I am not managing to resolve this. It is incredible how hard and illogical 0s and 1s can be sometimes .

A reset might help you with this.  To do this just close Trados Studio and then rename this folder:

c:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\Studio16\

to c:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\Studio16_old\

If you can't find this folder then you need to unhide your hidden files/folders:

www.howtogeek.com/.../

Then restart Trados Studio and see if that helped.

I have tried this already since it was in one of the topics in the forum. I even uninstalled Studio, erased these folders and did a new clean install, and I am still getting the same error :(. I also tried renaning 3 files in the Studio folder. What is so annoying with errors like this is that I havent changed anything. I turned of the PC to get some sleep, and on the morning after this error appeared. I am guessing that it is related to some automated update in Windows, Studio or some other third party software, that for some reason is affecting this process since I have made no change to anything.

I had some problems with similar errors when Studio was calling a specific project in the startup, but couldnt find the files (moved or erased), and in those cases changing the name on the files and/or folders worked very well since Studio stopped trying to call those files..
