Passolo 2022 product activation impossible after bundle installation

Question

Hi all, 
 I installed Passolo 2022 and activated it with the provided activation key successfully. 
 A popup window notified me, that an update bundle is ready for installation. 
 I agreed to install the bundle. 
 After starting Passolo a popup states that the product could not be activated: 
 
 Clicking [Retry] or [Product Activation...] leads to an additional error message of the same text. 
 Any suggestions?
