Hello,

I wanted to install SDL/Trados on my new PC but when I entered my activation code a message appeared that the Activation failed. "cannot connect to the activation server. Check the activation server address in the provider settings. Request aborted: Unable to create a secure SSL/TLS channel."

The licence on my old computer may have not been updated or I don't know, since some time because I have not been using SDL TRADOS for few years. But would like to get back to it still!

So, I made the procedure following the steps for the activation offline, entered the ID Installation Code, the certificate for Offline Activation etc... and even received an email and a message that it is activated ! But when I typed the activation code the one from my SDL account (which appears now on my page as activated) the app says " Activation failed. Cannot connect to the activation server. Check the activation server address in the provider settings. Request aborted: Unable to create a secure SSL/TLS channel".

Also the LIcence appears in the dialog box of the app as expired but on my account with all the steps carried out before (Activation offline etc.. it shows as active with no expiry date...) 

My version is SDL Trados Studio 2019 Freelance / SDL Trados Studio 2019 SR2 CU8 downloaded in 2021. Initially I bought Studio2017 Version. (SDL Trados Studio 2017 SR1 CU15)

Now it says on the app when I enter the activation code that it exists no valid license available... I do not have my previous computer anymore. Completly stuck now. I just hope I won't have to buy a new license just because it seems impossible to change computers with Trados...
