Good morning,
I presently have Trados Studio 2019 Freelance Plus. Two days ago, I had a severe computer crash which obliterated my hard drive and caused me to have to do a clean reinstall of my operating system (Windows 10), before I could deactivate my licence. After I had replaced my hard drive and reinstalled Windows 10, I tried to deactivate my licence so as to be able to reactivate it but was unable to do so. (A few years ago, one could send SDL an e-mail and ask them to reactivate the licence but now one cannot do this). Therefore, my first question is: "How do I deactivate/reactivate my licence? Although I have Trados Studio Freelance Plus and have only ever activated one of the two licences, my licence page shows that I have only used one licence and have '0' available!
My version of Trados Studio Freelance 2019 Plus is an upgrade from Trados Studio Freelance 2017 Plus, which was an upgrade from Trados Studio Freelance 2015 Plus, which was an upgrade from Trados Studio Freelance 2014 Plus, which was an upgrade from Trados Studio Freelance 2011 Plus. Does this mean that I now have to reinstall Trados Studio 2011 and all successive upgrades up to Trados Studio 2019 Freelance Plus or can I reinstall Trados Studio Freelance Plus directly in any way? I am asking this question because when I tried to download Trados Studio 2019 Freelance Plus directly, I was unable to do so.
I thank you in advance for any help you can give me.
Best regards,
Peter Close
