Nach Update Trados 2022 SR2 funktionierte Trados 2022 nicht mehr

Liebe Kolleginnen und Kollegen

nach dem Download und der Installation des Service Release SR2 von Trados 2022 funktioniert Trados 2022 nicht mehr - auch Deinstallation und Reinstallation von Trados 2022 SR1 haben keine Hilfe gebracht, der PC greift bei der nachfolgenden Neu-Installation immer wieder auf die Version Trados 2022 SR2 zurück. Auch nach Löschen sämtlicher Dateien zu Trados 2022. Auch nach Nutzung des Fresh-Start.

Erst war die Vermutung, dass noch irgendwo Unter-Dateien versteckt sind, die durch die Antivirus-Software Panda-Dome bei mir stark geschützt sind. Aber auch nach Abschalten des Panda-Domes und dem Löschen sämtlicher zu entdeckender Unter-Dateien greift Trados 2022 bei der Neu-Installation immer wieder auf die Version SR2 zurück.

Zusammen mit einer IT-Kollegin fehlt uns jetzt die Idee, wo noch Reste von Installations-Software Trados 2022 SR2 versteckt sein könnten. Die Deinstallation scheint nicht komplett funktioniert zu haben.

Die ursprüngliche Fehlermeldung, die auch weiterhin auftaucht ist diese:

    It is better to use English in this forum.

    As you do not tell us, what kind of error was experienced with SR2, it hard to tell how to fix SR2. However, "just" uninstalling SR2 will not bring what you need.Typically you have to revert to a previous version via Windows Control Panel (Systemsteuerung):

    The last update for Studio should be listed there and thus possible to remove.

    This said, in your case it might not be possible to do so anymore. In that very case I would first try to use the FreshStart app: https://appstore.rws.com/Plugin/107

    If this does not work, only RWS will be able to help.

  • Thanks Jerzy, unfortunately my English is no so gut as it is not the language I work with so I put my question in German.

    Anyway the latest version of Studio in this Window Control Panel ist "Trados STudio 2022 SR1" and we thought this might be the right one. Nevertheless when we tried to install this version, the system always installed the SR2 version so I suppose in some "corner" of my Desktop this might be still active.

    And we also did the FeshStart and removed there all the older Studio Versions but this did not help either.

    I have a support contract with RWS and I fear it will be the only way to help me with this.
