Thank you Sorin, but I want to uninstall and delete all of my Trades files, not to repair it. I want to start afresh.

A complete reinstallation is not necessary and the articles I sent are specific for the issue you have. But if you want to reinstall do it from Control Panel and then delete these folders if they are still present: 

Trados Studio from: C:\Program Files (x86)\Trados\
The version of Trados Studio you have installed from: C:\ProgramData\Package Cache\Trados

Dear Sorin

I have followed your advice and completely uninstalled both programs (Trados and Multiterm), deleted the files, rebooted the computer, and reinstalled Trados. I opened the .exe file and launched the program. The error is back. I cannot even launch the program. I am in tatters........
