After installing the latest update, Studio doesn't open anymore.

After installing the latest update, Studio doesn't open anymore.
Tried reinstalling, gave back the license, and renamed the BaseSettings.xml etc. files
Also tried running it as an Admin. The result is always the same – Studio does a lot of loading but finishes with an "Object reference not set to an instance of an object."
What is the full error message under the Object Reference message? That is too generic. I can raise a case for you, but maybe check this first because we might see something in there that will allow us to help you fix it now.

That's what it says. Nothing really.
I think that this mess is somehow my fault. When I clicked the update installer, nothing happend. So I clicked a couple of times, and in the end I THINK that probably two installations started. I aborted one (at least that was my intention), and I think that maybe messed up something. Meanwhile I have tried to install this older version TradosStudio2022_17.0.3.11695 from last August, which I had still lying around. It doesn't work either. So the error message is actually from that one. Thankfully, Studio 2021 still works. It is really a great help that we get to keep the old versions for a while! Saves my life!

Issue resolved after removing an old plugin (Language Weaver Edge) and resetting some of Trados Studio's installation files (workaround 2 from this article: https://gateway.sdl.com/apex/communityknowledge?articleName=000001414
There was a secondary issue with the .sdlxliff not opening when double-clicking on it, which was resolved after restoring the file-type association on Windows registry.
