Cannot deactivate my 2015 Trados license in order to switch it to my laptop to work on the move. My office PC and my laptop both indicate the license is in use and cannot be activated. Be restarting Trados on my office PC all the previous Trados projects are absent!! Help!

I am sorry, but the info you sent me is not helpful at all. I have tried the online AND offline activation with an activation certificate sent to me via email. My laptop Trados (2021) reported that "a specified lock code is invalid". My license code is legal, you can see it in my Trados profile. It is supposed to be eternally valid. I cannot understand and I am running late!!! Thank you in advance for your help.

It`s not possible to activate Studio 2021 with a 2015 license, you can only activate Studio 2015.
If on your PC Studio show only the Deactivate option then follow the below steps before reactivation your license offline:

It was never possible to activate Studio 2021 with a 2015 license or other licenses except a 2021 license.
As I said, you can only activate Studio 2015 on one computer with the license you have. Not sure what you mean by "one-way switching"

Well, but I did, and you can check it looking back to activating cases in my profile in 2022.
Oneway switching means I can switch Trados license from PC to laptop but cannot switch back afterwards. It would be fatal. As I have activating problems now I suppose I will also have (much bigger) problems while activating it back.

If you did, you`re the only one who managed to do that ever. There`s no point arguing on this, if you want to activate your license now you can only do it in Studio 2015 and only using the offline activation method (same thing for deactivation method). I can`t know if you`ll have problems when you`ll try to switch between PCs but following the steps I sent earlier (renaming Studio.lic file) could help.

Dear Sorin,
I have done it, but the bug is still there. I have renamed the License file, but the situation remains the same: the product code does not fit to the product version. The license is 2015, the Trados version on my laptop 2022.

As I told you before, you can only activate Studio 2015 with a 2015 license. It`s not possible to activate Studio 2022 or Studio 2021 only if you purchase a license for those specific versions.
You have a free upgrade available in your account, this means that you can upgrade your license from 2015 to 2017 as described in this article: https://gateway.sdl.com/apex/communityknowledge?articleName=000001319
If you process this upgrade you`ll be able to license Studio 2017 with the newly generated license but not a higher version.
