Hello,
Among other SDL products I also have a legacy "SDL Trados Studio 2014 Freelance Plus" license.
This license was active in an earlier Windows installation.
I had to make a new Windows installation, and I didn't deactivate the Trados license beforehand.
I don't see the "Reset License" option for this particular license in my RWS Account.
Please assist with the license deactivation.

I am sorry to let you know it is no longer possible to deactivate/activate 2014 licenses or older, we have sent several e-mails about it, please see https://gateway.sdl.com/apex/communityknowledge?articleName=000019369 You may try and activate your Trados 2014 but we cannot guarantee it will work.

Hello Elisa,
I was able to reactivate the license. However, based on the information you provided, I am concerned that my license could eventually become unusable (and thus worthless) in the event of a future reinstallation.
I purchased a license with "No expiry date". Since your company is still operational (and therefore can provide the licensing service), and this is an off-line installation, I expect standard functionality to be maintained. (From my understanding, the licensing technology was deliberately decommissioned by RWS, not due to vis maior circumstances.)
Please advise how can I ensure, without additional costs, that my permanent license stays functional as long as I use compatible hardware & software.
