Wrong language in downloaded installer

I translate ENG->SWE and have a Swedish OS version. However when I download the installer for 2022 and run it, it's in German:

Initial setup screen of Trados Studio in German, with tabs 'Welcome', 'Current User Details' with a red exclamation mark, 'User Profile', and 'Examples'. Progress shows '2 of 4 completed'.

So does anyone know how the localization settings for this actually work? Is it that I'm downloading the wrong installer because the Account website thinks I'm on a German OS? Or is it a generic installer that picks up the localization info from my hardware (the computer was manufactured in Germany)? Would love any tips on how to solve this.

Kind regards,

Mårten

  • Thanks Sorin,

This is what I did with the previous version (2021), however changing the UI language post installation is only a partial fix. Some of the UI is still in German even though I have switched to English, as you can see in this picture:

Screenshot of a software's translation management interface showing various confirmation levels such as Not Translated, Draft, Translated, with corresponding word, character, and segment counts. Some UI elements are in German.

This is why I really wanted to get the lang code correct from the start this time around, so as not to have the same issues during 2022. I guess I can live with some tabs being in German though. But the above picture makes no sense to me, any idea how it can show up with mixed languages like that?

    Kind regards,

    Mårten
