Just a small technical question: I am using Trados 2021, but I realized that I still have also the older 2019 version installed. Since ?m gaving disk space problems, can I disinstall version 2019 without affecting version 2021?

You can safely uninstall any previous version of the software.
For files and similar use an external HDD to store older jobs in order to free space on your disk. Please also use disc cleanup (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disk_Cleanup) to remove unnecessary files from your HDD.

Please uninstall the "SDL Trados Legacy Complatible Module" and "SDL Trados 2017 SR1 - Remove suite...".
Then make sure, you have restarted your PC:
And BTW, do you work on a Mac?

No no, I am working from a Windows 10 laptop. I disintstalled the first file you mentioned without problems, but the other won't be disinstalled, I get the usual message (above). Now I will restart the PC anyway...
Why did you ask? Can Trados work on Mac? That would be great news for me (I also have a Mac), but I have always known that it is not possible...
Trados will not work on Mac, only in Windows. But using Windows on Mac and installing Trados there causes very often trouble.

Or install Trados Studio 2022 trial and upgrade now, as long the pre-launch offer is valid. Very soon we'll have Trados Studio 2024.

But why? I want to keep working on my 2021 version now, as I did until a few hours ago! What happened? Can I just reinstall my version? No installer seems to work and now I even get another strange message when Trados is opening, something about plug-ins... I am lost! And I have a job to deliver tomorrow!!
Any in any case, where do I get the 2022 free trial?
Unfortunately I do not know. For the message: remove all plugins, which you will find, when you go into the parent folder of the location from the article and then in the folder with the name 16. delete the Plugin folder there completely.

I did everything and nothing worked :-((( I am desperate. I have 2 jobs to complete for tomorrow and now Trados won't even open. A window pops up with plug-in problems which I don't understand at all. Impossible to uninstall or install anything. HELP!!! I am writing an email to Paul Filkin as well, I really hope he can help me tomorrow morning first thing... I want to cry
Do not be desperate and don't panic, this will not help.
Please do the following:
Find the folder C:\Users\Your_username\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio
In this folder you will find some subfolders. Please rename all folders you can find there. Simply add a _ (underliner) in front of their names.
This should completely reset ALL your Studio versions and allow you to start the program.
