I am trying to deactivate a 2022 Licence, so I can activate the 2024 Licence. Why is it so hard and complicated? You still haven't figured out an easy way of doing this.

You do not need to deactivate the 2022 license; simply uninstall the program.
To process the upgrade from your 2022 version to the 2024 one please follow the below steps:
Log in into your RWS account: RWS Account (sdl.com)
Click on Products&Plans - Licenses
Click on the blue ribbon that holds the message 'You have 1 upgrade available'
On the page that appears click on Upgrade button again
Once all done return to licenses tab where the 2022 license code will appear.
