Transferring Trados Studio 2011 from an old PC to a new one

Hello. I own a license for Trados Studio 2011 which is currently working on my PC and I would like to know whether I can use such license on a new PC (because my current PC has become old and slow) by transferring the hard disk containing Trados Studio 2011 from the old PC to the new one (both PC would have the same type of operating system). I already know that I am not allowed to deactivate my license on the old PC and activate it on the new PC, because Trados Studio 2011 is no longer supported, so the only option would be transferring the hard disk containing Trados Studio 2011 from the old PC to the new one. Do you think that such option would work or would I risk losing my license? Thank you for your answer.

I'm afraid a transfer of an installed program from one PC to another is not possible, at least not in a Windows environment. Your new PC may have the same operating system, but will certainly have different components, so even trying to install an image of your old PC in the new PC will most probably cause a lot of trouble and never work properly.

As SDL Trados Studio 2011 is not supported anymore and is really fully outdated in terms of functionality, the best option would be to invest in Trados Studio 2024. TS2011 has been developed 14 years ago, which is ages in terms of software development.
