I have Trados Studio 2022 with the latest update.
I am working on an idml file, but Find and Replace does not work.
I see the Find and Replace window, but when I search for any word in target or source it doesn't find it and of course in target it can't replace either.
Finding no solution, I am writing to you for help.

Try to go to View tab and use "Reset window layout" there. If that does not help, follow the advice here: gateway.sdl.com/.../communityknowledge

I did everything up to Workaround 3 and it didn't work. I haven't done Workaround 4 yet, but for now I can't because I need the time.
This is strange, as you can see the find box. Usually this box is missing. When you start the search, where is your cursor?

The cursor is inside a segment of the target language.
I also did Workaround 4 using Trados Freshstart and it still didn't work.
I have now tried all solutions, but to no success.
That's really a pity. My last suggestion would be resetting the user profile: File -> Setup -> Manage user profiles, then restarting Studio, resetting window layout once again and finally restarting the program once more.
If all this does not help, I have no idea what is wrong.

Usually when there was a problem, I too had to reset the profile or the plugins folder and then things worked again, but this time I tried everything and unfortunately it didn't work.
Let's wait for Paul then, maybe he has some solutions....
I'm afraid this is indeed the last possible solution. Paul Dear Paul, would you please look into this issue?

Does look odd. Can you position the cursor in segment #1 before the E in Erste? Then press Ctrl+H, type in the search and replace fields and click on Find Next. What happens?

I changed the cursor position as per your instructions. Nothing has changed. It does not find and cannot replace the word.
