I usually have Trados on my desktop and on my laptop as well, as I'm often out of office (I'm an interpreter, too).
I had to by a new laptop as the old one had some battery problems. I cannot remember the procedure to install Trados on my new laptop. I've alteady downloaded it but it seems I need an activation code.
Can you please help ?

Please go here https://oos.sdl.com/asp/products/ssl/account/mylicenses/licenses.aspx click Reset License and then follow all the necessary steps in order to deactivate your license. Then wait for 30 minutes and activate your product on the new PC.

I don't want to deactivate my licence on my desktop. I would like to have Trados both on my desktop and my laptop as I had with my old computer laptop. The latter doesn't switch on any more.
Is your suggestion ok in this case ?

You have Trados Freelance Plus. Do you know on which date you activated on your laptop? If so, please only deactivate the activation you used for your laptop so that you can activate on the new laptop.

Thank you Elisa, I understand but my laptop doesn't switch on any more and I cannot remember when I installed it. Perhaps in 2021.

Hi Carmen,
Yes, that is the solution you have.
Since you activated the licenses on both computers, you have an approximate idea of when you activated each, so pick the one closest to the date when you activated it on your laptop. As far as I can verify, you activated one at the beginning of this year and one when you purchased the license. If you click on the Reset button, it will show you the two, and you can select the one with the oldest activation date.

I tried the procedure you indicated and it didn't work, even if I waited about 1 hour. The prompt says Key doesn't exist.... I deactivated the one starting with 82acb3 and tried also with the other one starting with 638060
How can I have an extra activation on my new laptop since the old one is out of work ?
I still don't have Trados on my new laptop and I have to travel this week

I still have problems installing Trados on my new laptop and I don't have any access to the old one which is down.
Can you please send me an activation key corresponding to my licence as I tried all the procedures above and nothing happens...
It's urgent now !
