Dear all,
I have a Freelance Plus Trados Studio 2022 licence, hence two activations , which I've thought to have been assigned to device "OLDEST" and "SOMEHOW OLD" (names given just to be as precise as possible)
I have bought a new notebook ("NEW") and now would like to deactivate the license previoulsy assigned to my oldest device ("OLDEST") (which I hadn't used for quite some time).
This is how I proceeded (and haven't succeeded so far):
1. I looked up the activation status in my RWS account on my web browser of SOMEHOW OLD. Both licenses are shown as activated.
2. I started trados on OLDEST with the intention of deactiving the license
3. OLDEST told my that the license had expired ("abgelaufen")
4. I clicked on "My account" in the product activation box and the web browser opened telling me "Something went wrong. Please contact technical support".
5. I clicked my way through to here.
My questions are:
Q1: Why would the license be shown as activated when it is not activated on OLDEST? I have no other machine than SOMEHOW OLD on which I would use trados.
Q2: What can I do to activate the one spare Freelance Plus Trados Studio 2022 licence on NEW?
