Studio 2024 Freelance Plus won’t update

Windows 11, Studio 2024 18.0.1.2259. If I try to update (Help - Check for updates) a column of Community Notifications appears briefly and vanishes. No update. When I go to my Licences, I see my Studio Freelance Plus is showing just one activation (I though RWS sorted this out for me!), and I wonder if the failure to update is related to this? In any case, it’s tiresome – any help, please?
