Cannot reset my license to upgrade it - reached three times limitation

Hello,

I am having a problem with activating my license (SDL Trados Studio 2021 Professional) on my new PC. I have been advised that I need to upgrade it to 2022 in order to activate it on my new PC, however I did not know I needed to do so. Now as I try to proceed to upgrade it says I need to return my active license, however I already have reached three times per 12 months limitation to reset my license.  

Is it technically possible to somehow unlock my current status and let me proceed to reset, upgrade my license and activate it on my new PC ?
