I want to deactivate 2024 in order to activate 2022 temporarily. They're both up to date: CU2 18.0.2.3255 for 2024 and SR2_17.2.12.19268 for 2022. They're also on the same Windows machine.
I opened 2024 in Executive mode and disonnected VPN and antivirus. No soap.
The offline process doesn't work (the deactivation code is rejected).
I'd also like to return to 2024 afterwards without getting into a mess like this.

You processed the upgrade to Trados 2024 Freelance Plus at the beginning of the year, so your license rights extend only upon Trados 2024. Please note an upgrade is different from owning two separate licenses. You do not own Trados 2022 and 2024 separately. We cannot guarantee the long term functioning of Trados 2022. You can try to run it side by side according to the info in this article 03.2 Installing and activating Trados 2024 and Trados 2022 side by side (upgrades only) Please do not deactivate Trados 2024, that is not necessary.

Thank you for your reply. Actually, since I couldn't use 2022 and the 2024 configuration appeared to be corrupt, I uninstalled both 2022 and 2024. Then, I installed 2024 followed by 2022. Should I now uninstall both and install 2022 first, activate it, then install 2024 to get things to work properly? The link you provided appears to indicate that order.

If you would like to continue running Trados 2022- you must install Trados 2024 on the same machine as they share the same license activation (upgrades only). So this means you simply install Trados 2024, activate it and then install Trados 2022. For Trados 2022 no activation should be required.
