Hello,
I have several Trados Studio 2022 licenses being used in an offline Windows enviornment and the licenses are activated offline. I have successfully used Trado Studio since 2015 without big issues in this offline enviornment.
However, there were several cases recently where my licenses were expired.
I suspect that this has something to do with my environment as a recently implemented security program causes Windows hostname (device name) being changed periodically. This is based on the fact that this issue happens everytime the security program that changes the hostname is executed.
I have dealt with this using the lisence reset feature in the RWS Account, but this can only be used 3 times per one year, which is not enough to address this issue. Offline deactivation is also not a good option as the security program could run in the background.
Therefore, in order to resolve this issue and continue to use Trados Studio, would it be possible to provide answer to the below questions?
1. Does the offline license expire when Windows hostname (device name) is changed? (This might be useful on our side)
2. Can the lisence reset limit be increased to more than 3 times per year?
3. Can you suggest any workaround or solution to the issue described above?
